THE BRAND
Isabella Maximillian is a Los Angeles based clothing brand rooted in creativity, transformation, and individuality.
It began organically as a t-shirt brand, with Bella reworking and upcycling her favorite coffee stained t-shirt into something new. The pieces she created for herself quickly drew attention.
What started as a personal expression evolved into a broader vision, one that embraces effortless, feminine, and distinctly unique design, created with a more thoughtful approach.
The Bella Tank
The Bella Tank is the piece that started it all.
Our founder Bella originally created the Bella Tank as an as an upcycling project using a coffee stained tank top. It began as an exploration of how something imperfect could be transformed into something new and innovative. A triangle bra was layered over the original piece, introducing a new dimension to the design. With her mother’s insight, delicate lace was added along the edges, creating a soft, feminine bralette.
What began as a single experiment became the foundation for the entire collection, and ultimately, the creation of Isabella Maximillian.
UP-CYCLED
Many designs at IM are built around deadstock fabrics and trims, materials that already exist in the world but have yet to find their moment. Los Angeles based production keeps things intentional, immediate and creative. Every piece is made to feel special, because it is.
Isabella Maximillian is an ongoing evolution and inspiration.
THE FOUNDER
Bella Harris is a model, FIDM graduate, designer, and creative based in Los Angeles. She built Isabella Maximillian from the ground up. Bella is totally and completely hands-on and driven by a genuine belief that clothing should evoke a feeling and mean something. The brand name combines her first name with her twin brother’s name, a nod to her family bond.
Her mother Lisa, a fellow FIDM graduate and former stylist, collaborates as creative partner, bringing another layer of trained instinct to the work.
